About Me
In 7th grade, I made my acting debut as The Smartest Woman in the Kingdom, a career high I've been chasing ever since. That journey took me from my beloved Colorado in search of new experiences and higher education at the University of Alabama. I'm pleased to report that I found both, along with vital training, and cherished mentors, friends, roles, and opportunities. I graduated in 2019, Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Acting and Economics and completed my MS in Finance in 2020 (that's a long story, but I'll tell it over a drink some time).
I count my summer at the Williamstown Theatre Festival as one of the pivotal moments in my artistic life, and my resume outlines other professional highlights. But actors bring their whole lives to their work, so let me share some of the details that may spill into mine. I've been a fundraiser and grant writer nearly as long as I've been acting, and I'm fascinated by the way narrative facilitates buy-in, whether between artist and audience, or between funder and stakeholder. Everyone is one great story away from transforming, and the magic of that is never lost on me. When I'm not trying to change the world with a story, I might be in the gym, hiking, playing D&D, reading (high fantasy or space opera, at a voracious rate), scuba diving, baking, or drinking coffee for both medicinal and recreational purposes. If I'm not in LA, check Colorado, and if that fails, get the next flight to Heathrow.
If you've made it this far, allow me to commend you, and leave you with some words from my patron saint, Katharine Hepburn. I have always considered acting to be first and foremost an act of love, and I think she said it best: "Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get - only with what you are expecting to give - which is everything."
